Occupational Medicine

Occupational Medicine Unit is the most active in the field of occupational health. Our teams of occupational medicine practitioners and specialists work to ensure that the highest standards of occupational health and safety can be achieved and maintained.

This branch of our health service promotes preventive medicine in the workplace and assists in the management of illness, injury or disability that is related to the workplace.

We are an advisory centre for international bodies, governmental and non-governmental agencies, organizations and trade unions. We conduct Risk Based Health Risk Assessments, Develop Medical Surveillance Programmes, Conduct Fitness Medical Examinations and Benefit Medical Examinations as well as Workplace Health Promotion and Research.

Occupational Hygiene

Our Occupational Hygiene Unit deals with the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, control and prevention of hazards from work that may result in injury, illness, or affect the wellbeing of workers.

Workplace hazards or stressors are typically divided into 5 categories biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic, and psychosocial.

Our teams of environmental and occupational hygienists are considered experts in exposure science and exposure risk management.

We use high standard equipment calibrated to measure specific occupational hazards.
